Improving the effectiveness of the Montenegrin protected area system
The project aims to develop a regulation for management plans in nature conservation and create a toolbox for the effective management of protected areas. Eight guidelines will be revised and aligned with international best practices.
The key tasks include:
- Supporting the update of the management plan for Durmitor National Park
- Integrating the toolbox and finalizing the plan after stakeholder consultations
- Developing a business plan for Ulcinj Nature Park
- Training protected area managers using a "learning by doing" approach.
Existing data from policy documents, research, and conservation projects will be utilized.
