
Improving the effectiveness of the Montenegrin protected area system system: strengthening the legal and political framework and institutional institutional capacities through the “learning by doing” approach
The project aims to develop a regulation for management plans in nature conservation and create a toolbox for the effective management of protected areas. Eight guidelines will be revised and aligned with international best practices.
Key tasks include:
- Supporting the update of the management plan for Durmitor National Park
- Integrating the toolbox and finalizing the plan after stakeholder consultations
- Developing a business plan for Ulcinj Nature Park
- Training protected area managers using a "learning by doing" approach.
Existing data from policy documents, research, and conservation projects will be utilized. The project duration is 12 months.
