Award of the ‘Goldene Unke’

Competition for innovative, nature-oriented and nature-conserving projects goes into the second round

The competition, which we launched in 2021 together with the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences with the support of the State of Carinthia, will take place again in 2022. This means that innovative, nature-oriented and nature-compatible construction project ideas can be submitted for the Carinthian Nature Conservation Award until October 16, 2022.

The aim of the award is to identify and highlight innovations in nature conservation in construction. The competition helps to honor well-done implementations in the sector and is intended to motivate companies, municipalities and cities to implement projects that are more nature-oriented and nature-friendly, as well as to bring successful projects before the curtain. As soon as a project enables an improvement for nature (animal and plant species, as well as habitats), it has a chance to be awarded.

The Golden Unke is awarded on the basis of an on-site visit carried out by experts and a subsequent jury decision. It will be awarded by Landesrätin Mag.a Sara Schaar in the course of a public event on November 11, 2022.

E.C.O. will again accompany the competition through the media. Together with the FH Kärnten we are looking forward to all submitted projects.
