New exhibition concept for the Silvanum Forestry Museum

The Forstmusem Silvanum in Großreifling is the only forestry museum in Austria. It is owned by the Austrian Federal Forests and operated by the Museum Association. It houses unique exhibits that tell the story of woodworking from the past to the present. The first impression in the entrance area is especially important for visitors. In order to improve this in the forestry museum, E.C.O. was commissioned to create a concept. In doing so, the current uses were taken into consideration and new activities, such as community events, were integrated. In addition, the concept was designed to connect the outdoor area with the existing indoor area and thus make it more attractive for the visitors.
