This project involved investigating, preparing and documenting the technical principles for caring for the Gurkursprung conservation area. The project team studied the physiographic composition of the area from a vegetation and zoological viewpoint and at the same time measured human usage. Suggested measures were then derived to achieve several sub-goals. The sub-goals were concerned with maintenance and improvement of the natural area and the landscapes, the integration of the protected area in regional development, continuation of usage in conformity with conservation, raising awareness, and communicating the discoveries about the natural and cultural area.
