European Parks Academy 2020

Treat yourself to an early bird ticket.

‘Save the date. Within the European Parks Academy, 13 – 18 July 2020, Lakeside Science & Technology Park Klagenfurt becomes once again the place to be for professionals in the management of conservation areas’, proudly announces programme coordinator Lisa Wolf.

Vienna Calling. ‘Participants can look forward to an excellent programme’. This year’s programme also was developed in collaboration with the World Commission on Protected Areas, EUROPARC Federation and numerous renowned industry experts. It consists of interactive seminars, one practice day in the field and two excursions to Vienna.
In the immediate surroundings of Austria’s capital, we are going to visit Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve and Donau-Auen National Park.

Benefit from experiences. The personal exchange of ideas and experiences with experts within the field of nature protection is one thing that makes EPA so unique. These experts work for renowned, worldwide operating institutions such as IUCN Green List, EUROPARC Federation, E.C.O. Institute of Ecology to name a few. Participants will address current issues, newest technologies and scientific insights in a cordial atmosphere.

Practical relevance. 2020 participants will tackle and work on current personal work-related issues and ideally return home with concrete solutions and ideas ready to be implemented. ‘It is very important for us that all participants by working together with other nature conservation experts gain practical knowledge and benefit from others’ shared experiences throughout the week’, Wolf concludes.
